Hey everyone! It’s been a little while since we’ve updated you all on the DJ haps. As most of you (should) know, we won the ‘Bands On Track,’ competition back in January and have since played in front of an AMAZING crowd at Adelaide Clipsal 500.We’re going to share some photos throughout this blog for your viewing pleasure!

The crowd was MASSIVE and the stage was awesome! We played a great set, the crowd ROCKED and were very receptive. We can hardly express how awesome of an opportunity this was for us!

Being on stage with that many people in the crowd was such a buzz and has only fueled the fire and want for more! Hopefully there will be even bigger and better gigs to come.

It was a huge honour sharing the stage with Mark Seymour and The Undertow, Vanessa Amorosi and of course, INXS. It really was such an awesome experience!

Thankfully, the rain decided to wait until we finished our set before arriving and paying a nice ‘wet’ visit to the crowd.
Mark Seymour took to the stage, singing ‘When the river runs dry, salvation will rain on you one last time.’ We’re certain this was no co-incidence, either. Mark Seymour….
…Is the rain-man.
Hanging backstage with the INXS was a load of fun;

Mr Ben Nash, managed to squeeze into an INXS band photo before they took to the stage, being addressed as the ’7th‘ member of INXS.
Partially due to Ben’s jacket being almost identical to the INXS boys’ military-esque jackets (Ben ALWAYS wears these jackets, we have heard they were taking influence from Ben) and partially because he had managed to become ‘mates’ with a few of the INXS lads, just casually schmoozing and charming everyone, in true Ben Nash, fashion.

If you ask me, they should each be known as ‘the other 6 members of Dexter Jones’ but, we can let that one slide… For now.

Just to make things a little more interesting, it seems as though Kristy’s attempt at procuring Vanessa Amorosi, fell by the wayside.
However, she did manage to get the hair on security’s back up and to have our video equipment confiscated for the remainder of the evening, (Apologies to the backstage crew)

Security and event staff were a little unimpressed after the shooting of a skit video about ‘stalking’ (I use that term very loosely) Vanessa Amorosi, made it’s way through the backstage areas into the green room and then up to Vanessa’s change room door…
The video was meant to depict Kristy sneaking into Access All Areas, and then into the artist GreenRoom only to be heartbroken after Amorosi is not interested and refuses to come to the door, but instead, got some of us into a bit of strife!
Just FYI everyone, Vanessa commented that she ‘wouldn’t have minded.’ So, essentially she is keen. Vanessa advised that she likes horses and motorbikes. We have photos to prove it. Not the horses or motorbikes part, the other part!

Layne Beachley (World Champion Pro Surfer Extraordinaire) was mistaken for one of Ben’s ‘Train Friends’ Cause, that’s how we roll. Turns out she is married to Kirk Pengilly, who by the way, is the most humble and friendliest rock superstar ever! Apparently everyone knew they were married, but us.

All in all, it was an amazing experience and one that we are very grateful to have had. We hope to have more opportunities like this and are now focusing on our upcoming national tour. We will keep ya posted! Check out some more photos from the concert HERE
